9 Mile Markers Advocacy Alert

Public Meeting on April 12th at 7:00 pm

Input sought on CDOT "After-the-fact Mitigation Plan"

Lafayette YMCA: 2800 Dagny Way, Lafayette, CO 80026

The 9 Mile Pillars on the west side of the intersection of Arapahoe Road and US 287 in east county have stood since 1928, built by the Boulder Lions Club and dedicated to the 1000 men and women from Boulder County who served in WWI. They also served as a "Gateway to Boulder" designed to lure tourists off the "Lincoln Highway" side-route from Lafayette to Longmont. A recent expansion of the road has been found to have substantially diminished the physical integrity of the pillars and greatly impacted this historic resource.
